respected sir,
I am trying to trace recordings of Rababis since the last 15 years. I am thrilled to see this site. I am really interested in getting the recordings of Rababi such as Ashiqe Ali, about whom I came to know when we were recording Wadali brothers for Music Today album of Punjab Folk at Delhi. I heard a lot about Rababis like Chand Mohammad etc. I am very keen to get some representative shabads from these masters. I am a Tamilian but I love shabads . I receive the feel directly in my heart though I do not understand a word of the shabads. I have been trying to get the music companies interested in restoring the works of great shabads of past Ragis and Rababis for the future reference. Please I request you to let me be in touch with you. I will be only too glad to be of any assistance in preserving this great heritage. I have heard Professor Darshan singhji, Bhai Deep Singh ( HMV release of old AIR recording), Bhai Santa Singh, and others and I still keep listening to my collections of shabads which I had collected over the last 25 years.
I do not have a web site.
